Ten Marks Homework
All students have been registered for the online Math program called Ten Marks. I will be giving students his/her login information once he/she has completed NWEA testing. Homework assignments throughout the year will be assigned through Ten Marks. If your child does not have access to a computer or internet, please email me at sleimas@dearbornschools.org to inform me.
Thank you!

NWEA Testing
Students in all classes will begin NWEA Math testing Monday, September 18th. If they do not complete the test Monday, they will have Wednesday, September 20th to do so! Students, please go to sleep early Sunday and do remember to eat a healthy breakfast Monday morning!
Fixed Mindset vs. Growth Mindset
Students in all classes have been learning about Growth Mindset versus Fixed Mindset.
A GROWTH mindset is the belief that YOU can grow your brain, that intelligence grows with effort and practice.
A FIXED mindset is the belief that your intelligence is something about you that YOU cannot change.
For example, a person with a FIXED MINDSET will believe that some people are good at math, while others are not!

Open House Tonight
Welcome parents to Stout’s Open House tonight from 6:00 – 7:30pm
Follow your child’s schedule and meet his/her teachers.
This is not a time to talk about your child’s progress, but a time to become familiar with your child’s schedule and teachers at Stout.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be later in the fall (November).
I am looking forward to seeing you tonight!
