Academic Games is a competition amongst middle school students (from all Dearborn Public middle schools), in which players win by out-thinking one another in Mathematics. The game that is played is called EQUATIONS….requiring players to devise a solution that equals a set goal based on twenty-four math cubes. The game will challenge a player’s math skills and problem solving skills while they develop the solution.
Practice and Tournaments – The season runs from November 5th until January 22nd. Practices will begin at 3pm and end at 4:45, Tuesday through Thursday with no practice on Mondays and Fridays. Our first practice will be on November 14th and our first practice tournament will be November 20th. All tournaments will be played at Stout, therefore, no transportation will be required and students will be able to take the activities bus home after practice and tournaments.
