This past week in review
Hello all!
Just an update what we were doing this past week:
Writing: continuing writing about penguins. We started writing a book about penguins and what we have learned.
Spelling: -it word family quiz was taken yesterday
Math: Continue 3-D and 2-D shapes.
Science: continue about weather and how to warm a chilly playground that receives no sunlight?
Social studies: who am I?
Important information:
I have some exciting news! You might have heard from your child that we are going to the Detroit Zoo! Back in January, I filled out a grant for my class to go to the zoo. I found out in February that we were selected! The grant covers everything needed; busing to and from the zoo, admissions, lunch, and learning activities. A picture release from the Detroit Zoo will be sent home shortly as well. Please fill out the permission slip by March 23rd. Chaperones will be pulled randomly and will be notified. The field trip will take place April 10th (Tuesday after spring break).
If you were wondering about conferences, it is this coming week Thursday. It’s not for the whole class, if you are needed, you were notified.
March 30th- April 8th- No school for spring break. Return April 9th
