Week of 10-23-2017
Hello wonderful families of room 107!
Hope you all had a great weekend full of great weather! Hopefully it won’t be the last! As we kick off another exciting week in school, here is everything you need to know! Regarding the field trip, I pulled names and here is the list:
Mr. Markey, Ms. Czar, Mrs. Bzeih, Mr or Ms Brukley, Ms. Steele, and Ms. Atwi.
Remember if your name was not pulled to ride the bus, you can STILL JOIN US by following in your car and you will be admitted FREE as well! Please fill out the note that I sent home today and return it ASAP. Thank you in advance for your support and offering your personal time to help our darlings! You are SO VERY MUCH appreciated! Thank you 🙂
In class this week:
Math: continue unit 2 with sorting and classifying. Regarding homework, place cardstock sheet in a sheet protector to use a dry erase marker to use over again. This is to help with number recognition, quantity, and number sense (what is more, less) etc
Reading: Compare two books- “Good night moon”
Poem: 5 little pumpkin. Regarding homework as well, razz kids/ reading books with your child. Ask for rhyming words as well. What rhymes with bat? “hat, rat, pat, cat..” etc
Science- End unit 5 senses and begin Push and Pulls
*I will be out Wednesday morning because of a science meeting. I will be back in the afternoon. I will inform the children tomorrow.
*Friday-Halloween dance after school.
*I will be creating a sign up genius for the Halloween Party on Tuesday Oct. 31st. Be on the lookout for the post with the link on this blog. On Halloween, we will have the parade around the block around 2:00pm (weather permitting) and the party after that at around 2:30pm.
