Tuesday, February 14^th is Valentine’s Day!  We will have a small classroom celebration; if you would like your child to hand-out Valentines or treats, we have 7 students and 3 staff.

The following day, Wednesday, February 15^th will be our 100^th day of school!  Each day, as part of our morning routine, we have been counting how many days we’ve been in school anticipating our 100^th day!  Again, we will be having a small celebration to honor all of our hard work the first 100 days of school!

We look forward to a fun week before our mid-winter break, February 20^th-24^th!

Today we went to the Centennial Library! The librarian had activities ready for us, and then we got to explore the children’s section. We found some awesome puppets and stuffed animals to play with; the gorilla was our favorite, Ms. Debbie found us a book with a gorilla in it and read it to us. We had a nice time in the warm library on the snowy cold day!

tomorrow is a 1/2 day!

Fuzzy came to visit today, we LOVE Fuzzy! 

We worked with Mrs. Martin’s class today on identifying different sources of light and sound.  We had a group of ‘smarty pants’ students–when given choices, they were able to correctly identify if a object was a source of light or sound almost EVERY TIME! 

Some of us went swimming today at Hype in Westland.  We enjoyed the warm water and even went on the water slide!  We had so much fun!!!

We have a last minute opportunity to go swimming TOMORROW (January 19, 2017) with Mr. Borg, our gym teacher.

If you are interested in having your child swim PLEASE let me know as soon as possible.  If you do not have a swimsuit for your child, shorts and a t-shirt would be fine.  If you do not feel comfortable having your child swim, there are other activities available at the facility.

If you are planning on your child swimming, PLEASE send a swimsuit (or t-shirt/shorts) and a towel.

Although this is last minute it is a wonderful opportunity for the children.  Thank you for understanding!
