Week of Monday, February 10th

6th Grade Exploring Languages:  B day will learn about Spanish family and body vocabulary on Monday. Homework will be to complete page 7. On Wednesday they will play Jeopardy and have their test on Friday. B day will learn about Spanish family and body on Tuesday. Homework will be to complete page 7. They will play Jeopardy on Thursday and have their test the Monday after break. I will collect completed Spanish packets on the day of the test for both classes. Study using Quizlet.com and study the culture in the packet.

7th & 8th Grade Conversational Spanish classes:  Students will play Jeopardy today to prepare for tomorrow’s test. The first Spanish test will be on Tuesday. Be prepared to listen read, translate, & write complete sentences in Spanish. We will begin unit 1 on Wednesday after the unit Bienvenidos test. We will learn about additional school objects and how to create singular and plural objects using indirect & direct object pronouns. Check planners for homework that is assigned in class daily. All students must have a planner. Please make sure to study using Quizlet.com for B.2, B.3 & B.4 for the test. Then students can begin studying 1.1 & 1.2 later on this week. Students will have a variety of practice activities with partners, group work, & grammar activities during class this week.

8th grade Yearlong: Students will complete their chapter 3 vocab 2 quiz tomorrow. We will review today and focus on “ir” & “jugar.” Weather notes will be introduced this week & students will practice writing in Spanish. Our chapter test will be after break. All work is posted on iLearn daily. Check Student Connect/ Parent Connect for any assignments that need to be completed. Please make sure to study vocabulary daily. Notes will be posted on iLearn. Check planners for daily homework assignments. Use Quizlet.com to study Ch. 3 Vocab 1 & 2 as well as grammar concepts too!
