Week of Monday, February 3rd

6th Grade Exploring Languages:  A day will learn about Spanish days & months on Monday. Homework will be to complete page 3. They will learn about Spanish colors on Wednesday. Homework will be to complete page 4. On Friday, students will learn about culture in Spain. B day will start learning about Spanish colors on Tuesday. Homework will be to complete page 4. On Thursday, they will learn about culture in Spain. For both classes, they will play Jeopardy the following week and take their first Spanish assessment. Study using Quizlet.com and study the culture in the packet.

7th & 8th Grade Conversational Spanish classes:  Last week, students worked on a Spanish cartoon & learned about Mexico’s Independence day on Thursday & Friday. Students will learn vocabulary focusing and items & people in the school on Monday & Tuesday. On Wednesday & Thursday, we will focus on Spanish numbers. On Friday, students will record Spanish conversations on Screencastify. Check planners for homework that is assigned in class daily. All students must have a planner. Please make sure to study using Quizlet.com for B.2, B.3 & B.4 this week. Students will have a variety of practice activities with partners, group work, & grammar activities during class this week. The following week will be their first Spanish assessment.

8th grade Yearlong: Students will complete their chapter 3 grammar 1 quiz today. Students will review their chapter 3 vocab 2 notes on Tuesday. Ch. 3 Grammar 2 notes will begin on Wednesday. Students will conjugate the verbs “ir” & “jugar” this week. Notes will be posted on iLearn. Check planners for daily homework assignments. Use Quizlet.com to study Ch. 3 Vocab 1 & 2 as well as grammar concepts too!
