6th grade: All students created a Quizlet account in which I will be tracking they progress. They are able to download a free app on their phones to increase their study progress as well. Their usernames are their last name hyphen first name (no spaces). Passwords were written in their planners. They must practice 10 minutes every other day at home. You will see their points submitted in Grade Book as a formative grade. If there is a family emergency during the week, please make up the points on the weekend and email me when it is complete so that I can go into the system to update it (jedrzem@dearbornschools.org).

So far, students have had pages 1 as homework in their Spanish packets they received this week. Students in B day have had to complete page 2 as well. We have been learning greetings and numbers. Both sets are on quizlet.com. Please have them complete the pages at home this weekend if they are not complete.

7th grade & 8th grade Semester Conversational Spanish: All students created a Quizlet account in which I will be tracking they progress. Each day I will tell them if they need to do flashcards (cards), learn, match (scatter) or test within the program. If there is a family emergency during the week, please make up the points on the weekend and email me when it is complete so that I can go into the system to update it (jedrzem@dearbornschools.org).

So far, students have taken B.1 and B.2 notes in their notebooks. Please make sure that students have their 2 notebooks (one for bellwork and the other for notes), folder, dry erase marker, pencil, and red pen daily. Points were submitted in Gradebook. We have been reading, writing, speaking, and listening in Spanish all week long!

Students have taken notes on Spain (Geocultura) and “Chapter 1 Vocab 1 notes.” This is the scheduled date of Spain’s culture quiz: Friday, September 16th. Students have been informed of the quiz each day for one week to write it in their planners.
