Wednesday, November 11th
I apologize, I was not in school on Monday and Tuesday because of an illness.
6th grade: Students learned about French numbers today. Homework is to complete page 2.
7th grade & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Students reviewed their 3.1 and 3.2 notes today during class. We prepared for our verbal assessment this Friday. Study all your vocabulary!
8th grade: Students took notes on the verb “ser” and adjective agreement. We completed a variety of activities. They also received their quizzes on Puerto Rico to assess their understanding.
Friday, November 6th
6th grade: Students learned about French greetings today. Homework is to complete page 1.
7th grade & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Students learned about the verb “ir” and wrote 3.2 notes today. Study all your vocabulary! The verbal test will be next week.
8th grade: Students completed the culture quiz on Puerto Rico. They also took notes on adjectives today.
November 5th, 2015
6th grade: The German test for A Day was today, Thursday, November 5th. German projects are due today.
7th grade & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Students reviewed 3.1 notes and took additional notes. Study all your vocabulary! The verbal test will be next week 🙂
8th grade: Students wrote in response to a Spanish quote. Papers are due on Monday. The culture quiz is on Puerto Rico.
Wednesday, November 4th
6th grade: The German test for B Day was completed today. The German test for A Day will be tomorrow, Thursday, November 5th. German projects are due today and tomorrow for A & B days.
7th grade & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Students viewed their exams and learned about days of the week and time frame words in class today. Notes 3.1 were completed in class.
8th grade: Students continued to learn about the culture and geography of Puerto Rico. The quiz will be on Friday, November 6th. Flashcards were created in class today.
Monday, November 2nd
6th grade: Students played Jeopardy to prepare for the test. The German test for B Day will be on Wednesday, November 4th (changed since we have a PD day the day before). The German test for A Day will be on Thursday, November 5th.
7th grade & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Unit 2 Exam was completed in class today.
8th grade: Students learned about the culture and geography of Puerto Rico. The quiz will be on Friday, November 6th.
Friday, October 30th
6th grade: Students played Jeopardy to prepare for the test. The German test for B Day will be on Wednesday, November 4th (changed since we have a PD day the day before). The German test for A Day will be on Thursday, November 5th.
7th grade & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Students learned about the Day of the Dead and viewed their videos to see how they completed them from the day before.
8th grade: Students learned about the Day of the Dead and received their Ch. 1 assessments back.
Thursday, October 29th
6th grade: Students learned about German family and body vocabulary. A family project was assigned and it is due the day of the test. The German test for B Day will be on Wednesday, November 3rd (changed since we have a PD day the day before). The German test for A Day will be on Thursday, November 4th.
7th grade & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Students used Screencastify on chromebooks to submit skits through Google Classroom.
8th grade: Chapter 1 Test was completed today.
Wednesday, October 28th
6th grade: Students learned about German family and body vocabulary. A family project was assigned and it is due the day of the test. The German test for B Day will be on Tuesday, November 2nd. The German test for A Day will be on Wednesday, November 3rd.
7th grade & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Students prepared for their exam next Monday by participating in Jeopardy today.
8th grade: Study for your chapter test tomorrow. We finished up our Jeopardy game and assessed our acting skills from screencastify yesterday. Late writing projects need to be handed in.
Tuesday, October 27th
6th grade: Students learned about German culture in class today. IF students did not complete the culture section in their packets, we will complete them during next class.
7th grade & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Students prepared for their skits on Thursday. We also completed a lot of vocabulary and grammar activities as I walked around the room to assess what they understood.
8th grade: Students completed the verbal assessment through Screencastify in Google Classroom using chromebooks. The chapter test will be next Thursday, October 29th. Late writing projects need to be handed in.
Monday, October 26th
6th grade: Students learned about German culture in class today. IF students did not complete the culture section in their packets, we will complete them during next class.
7th grade & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Students played Pongo in class today. Prepare for the verbal this Thursday, October 29th and unit 2 exam next Monday, November 2nd.
8th grade: Students watched and analyzed VideoNovela in class today. The chapter test will be next Thursday, October 29th. The partner assessment will be next Tuesday, October 27th. The writing projects need to be handed in.
