Posted by jedrzem on September 24, 2018 in Class News |

6th grade classes: B Day will meet on Tuesday and Thursday of this week. They will be playing Jeopardy on Tuesday to prepare for the Spanish test on Thursday. They must know Spanish greetings, numbers 1-10, days & months, colors, culture and how to ask about family. Students should study the questions on each page. I will be testing them by asking the question and providing the answer in Spanish. Using multiple choice, they will have to decide what the question and answer are about. Study concepts daily using Quizlet.com. I will also be collecting the Spanish homework packets on the day of the test which should be completely done. If students were absent for pages 5 & 6, pages are posted on Google Classroom . A day will meet on Monday, Wednesday & Friday of this week. They will play Jeopardy on Monday and have the test on Wednesday (the day I will be collecting the homework packet). All information above is applicable to A day. On Friday, A day will be starting to learn about German greetings. Check planner for daily assignment completion and (if applicable) change of plans. Check Parent Connect to see if students have been completing homework and participating.

7th & 8th grade Conversational Spanish: Students will learn about additional Spanish classroom objects and how to use articles when making a noun singular or plural. 1.1 and 1.2 notes will need to be studied this week. If students were absent last week for the test, they must make arrangements to meet with me to take the assessment. Use Quizlet.com to study vocabulary. When there is homework, it will always be posted on Google Classroom on a daily basis. Check planner daily!

8th grade Yearlong: The quiz on Spanish grammar (Ch. 1 Grammar 1) is posted on Parent Connect. Please check the score. If it is below 28/35, students can retake it up to an 80%. Please email or text me (Remind.com) to let me know that your son/daughter has studied for the retake. They can take it during lunch this week. Students will learn about Spanish numbers, days, months & alphabet this week. They may or may not have a quiz on Spanish vocabulary this Friday depending on how far they get with understanding the material. If so, it may be postponed until next Tuesday. Please make sure they study their own notes, compare their notes on Google classroom, look over bell work, preview the book pages on Google classroom, and use Quizlet.com as a study tool. Muchas gracias 🙂 Check planner and Google Classroom daily for homework assignments.
