Each year about 100 Maples 4th graders take a trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts.  This year we had a docent tour for an hour using Visual Thinking Strategies.  Then after lunch we split into smaller groups to explore the DIA’s wonderful collection for the afternoon.  The trip is free thanks to Target and the DIA donating the buses.  Since the students are residents of Wayne County admission is free too!  We had an awesome day!
