TEXTURE!  Students explored texture and color by using teacher made chunks of crayons.  They rubbed the crayons over paper covering many different textures including burlap, ric-rac, texture sheets, needlepoint plastic and letter stencils.  Overlapping the colors and textures were encouraged.  Each student ‘rubbed’ their names on their papers using the stencils.
