Dear Parents and Guardians,

Happy October!

We are excited to share that Henry Ford Elementary School held a wonderful WIDA Celebration on Friday! 

Last spring, 54 of our amazing students exited the WIDA Assessment, which is a tremendous accomplishment. Our students, teachers, and staff celebrated this achievement together on Friday afternoon.

Congratulations to our students, teachers, staff, and entire Henry Ford team for their hard work and dedication!

In this week’s Parent Communication, you will find information and highlights including:

• PBIS Café Raffle Drawing Winners
• Fun lunchtime photos
• PJ Day at HF
• Short video clips of students “Learning in Action”
• Classroom activities and interactive lessons
• Lunch recess highlights
• Student and Teacher Spotlight photos

Our Student and Teacher Spotlights include classrooms from Young 5s/Preschool, Kindergarten through 5th Grade, ASD classrooms, Specials, and the Media Center/Library.

Attendance Matters

During September, we focused on our September Sprint Attendance Goal.

 Thank you to all of our families for helping us improve student attendance during the first month of school.

Moving forward, our Attendance Task Force will continue contacting families when students are absent.

 Attendance reports are reviewed each Tuesday, and our team then begins making parent phone calls.

Our school-wide goal for the 2026–2027 school year is to reduce overall absenteeism at Henry Ford Elementary by approximately 35–37%.

By working together as a school and family partnership, we are confident that we can continue improving attendance and supporting the success of every student at Henry Ford Elementary School.
