Homework or No Homework

Should students be given homework at school? I believe that students should be given homework. Giving homework to students help kids out by a lot. I think that without homework kids don’t receive the work they need.

First, teachers don’t have enough time in a school day to teach all the assignments they want to, in that day. That’s where homework is useful. Teachers give extra assignments that were too long to give to students during class, but teachers can give those assignments to students for homework.

Second, There are students that have trouble on a topic or subject and need extra practice. When teachers give students homework it helps students out a lot. Homework such as worksheets, online videos, or notes can improve students skill in that subject or topic.

On the other hand, Kids need time to rest. So, homework should not be given to students. However, If kids do not receive homework, they will go home and not do anything that will benefit them academically. Instead of reading, writing or studying, kids will go home and watch tv, or play video games.

In conclusion, Students should receive homework. I think that one of the biggest reasons that some kids do great on tests is because they complete the homework given to them. Students should not take homework as a boring task, but they should take it as a way to improve skills in school work.

  1. If you want to know my opinion then I say yes kids should be given homework because they can understand more on what they are doing in class but if they don’t get home work and they have trouble on what your learning in class then when they go to take the test they will fail that’s why I think teachers should give out homework.

  2. Students struggle with school work so they need more to learn about in that subject and giving the student homework will help them learn more about that subject so yes homework should be given.

  3. When i read this article and the title it made me think. I think we shouldn’t have any homework because we spend 8 hour of school a day and they expect us to spend another hour doing something they gave us to do.

  4. I think that there should be homework, but just not much of it, because if there is a lot of homework most students just give up without a even try and just let it fail. There should be a reasonable amount of homework, not much so they spend like an hour on it. Maybe like an half hour at most, otherwise you aren’t really going to be grading much. Also, If so, people are just going to copy off the people that actually did the homework, because then they’ll just expect someone else to do it, as soon as they get to school they’ll just copy and is there isn’t really much academic learning going on there, copying doesn’t make you smarter.

  5. I think students should not have homework because, we spend 7 hours at school and sometime school can be really stressful. And the adding another 1 or 2 at home no that doesn’t sound really good. When we are at home we should spend our time with our families no doing some work. And sometimes homework can get you worried lets say you got homework from every teacher in every hour then when you get home you are going to have to finish all the homework and if you don’t finish the work you will be very worried about not getting a full grade and get a missing assignment and it will drop youre grade and that will just cause more stress with the 7 hours already in school.

  6. I think we should have homework so that we are always thinking. When we go to school we go to learn and get a good job when we get older and you can only get smarter by doing homework. Also, we should have homework because when you go to school you learn something new amd you may forget what you learned the next day and you can avoid that by doing homework.
