n freely, to escape poverty and oppression, and to have better lives for themselves and their children. Many people believe that the USA is the best country in the world.
My opinion is that I don’t think America is the best country in the world and I dont think its the worst. America has many pros but also has many cons. First of all our country has a constitution.The constitution helps protect all Americans from attacks on the citizenry. Not just that but it prohibits big religious groups from taking over politics.We also have good health care systems. The reason most people immigrate to the the USA is mostly because of wars in their home country. They come to the USA to get better education and to just live their lives. America also has good education and many great colleges. According to WWW.MPI.com the immigration population stood at more than 42.4 million or 13.3 percent of the total U.S population in 2014.
I believe that the biggest problem in America is our horrible crime rates. According to WWW.fbi.gov , the estimated number of murders is 15,696. I feel like America has people politically and socially divided. Our tax law is overly complex. Not just that but food is unhealthy on so many levels. More than 2 thirds (68.8 percent) of adults are considered to be obese according to www.niddk.nih.gov.

o other countries we are behind on many things. Not just that but there are many people who are in poverty. We also have many homeless people. The USA spends the most money per student on education and they end up getting bad outcomes. I also feel like America is the best at creating super rich people at the expenses of other people. Zeinab Alghanem an 8th grade student who goes to Unis Middle School says, “We aren’t a first world country and we don’t think about others in poverty.” According to WWW.poverty.ucdavis.edu , the official poverty rate of the U.S is 13.5 percent.
In the end America would still be a good country to live in if it wasn’t for its cons. Our countries has good times but as well as bad. We had a bloody and painful birth as a nation, but we still fought our way through. The USA has gone through alot in such a short time.

I learned that many people come to the USA because it’s a good country to raise kids and to get away from all the howers that go on in the other country’s I also learned that the USA Isent the best country in the world but they are really good and fair to the people who live in the USA or come to the USA although they do have some things that go wrong which doesn’t make it the best in the whole world.

You know, this whole “US is the best country in the world” thing is very irritating to me. That is far from true. America may have many freedom laws but it could use some improvement. Canada and some European countries are a lot better than the US, in my opinion. The only people who say US is the best country are usually from the US themselves. I find it very biased at times, where it shouldn’t be or when other countries wouldn’t be. For a personal example, I have received many rude and disrespectful stares because i wear a hijab, here in the United States, but when I go to Canada to visit family, i don’t feel any different from other people. That is one thing this country could work on to become “the best country”. To stop the hatred and awful stereotypes.
In my opinion, I think that The United States Of America is the best country in the world because it has Fresh water, Flat land, Fertile soil, climate, and seasons that happen every year. Also America does not have wars happening.

I agree! People come to America because we are the land of the free. But we do have high crime rates. I also disagree with Donald Trumps ban of people coming from middle east country’s. Even though the first Amendment states freedom of religion he is basically banning muslums from entering the country.

I think America is not the best country in the world because guns are legal to have if you a permit. About 2,600 people die in a day in America caused by guns and diseases. Another reason why America is not the best country in the world is because America is led by a white supremacist. America is led by Donald J. Trump and even though most of the population of the United States did not want him he still became president because of the Electoral College which is a very ineffective way of voting, and is another flaw of the United States.

I also think that the United States isn’t the best country but as they said, it’s not the worst. We do have freedom and he power to dress, eat, believe, say, etc. anything. I think that is a very big reason to why people immigrant to the United States. I do agree that we have good health care, and our constitution gives us more rights, and we are able to live our lives. But we aren’t that perfect, for what is going on right now gives us a lot of cons. Murders more than ever, rebellion, tax issues, president issues, etc. And now adding to the con list, closing boarders so immigrants don’t get in. We should be helping these people. America is certainly not the best country mostly because of its people, political, and social divisions. murder rates are extreamly high (15,696) and adults think their obese (68.8). (personal opinion) Their is racism and segregation plenty of it. people seperate each other by religion color of skin and by calling outsiders but clearly they are not the natives of this land.
My claim is that people are not happy around the world because of Donald trump he is not letting people come into the country without a visa. Donald trump is not making America great again.
After reading this article, I now learned that america is not the best or worst country in the world. I used to think that America was the best country but after this article I relize that our country is becoming the land of obeisity.
