Masks
I just received an email sent out by the mayor of Dearborn, John B. O’Reilly and I wanted to post the information here in case any families of my students experienced this and were curious.
On December 9th, Dearborn Police and Fire departments began distributing masks to Dearborn households in areas where COVID-19 transmission is the highest. The bags were placed on resident porches and contained 10 masks per household with a brief note.
The Mayor has expressed that these masks are legitimate and safe to use and have been provided in collaboration between Wayne County and the City of Dearborn for the health and safety of Dearborn citizens.
If your family received a bag and has questions about the masks, please call 313-943-2300 to reach the Mayor’s office or the police department which is available 24 hours a day at 313-943-2241.
Mask distribution will continue beginning the week of December 14th on the west side of the city where the cases are fewer but still concerning.
