The summer meal distribution will be once a week on Wednesdays starting June 17. Food will be handed out every Wednesday from 10a.m. to noon at the seven locations.  Each bag will contain seven breakfasts and seven lunches for each child under the age of 18.  Each child will also get a half gallon of milk.

The distribution locations will continue to be Fordson, Dearborn and Edsel Ford high schools, Woodworth and Smith middle schools, Salina Intermediate, and McCollough/Unis School.

One person can pick up food for any child living in the home.  The child does not need to attend that school.

Week 11 of Shutdown

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well. The end of the year is just a couple weeks away. I have chosen to give you what remains of the school year to complete all tasks that have been assigned to you since the start of the shutdown, if you have not done so yet. Please do your very best to submit all work by the end of this week. I would like to have grades finalized by the start of next week. However, you do have until the 11th of June.

Good luck, and should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me via email.

Continue to stay safe.

Update on Virtual Meetings

Hello everyone,

I hope you all are doing well. I miss you and am thinking about you. It has been a couple weeks since our last virtual meeting. The district is still working on getting a platform, other than Google Meets, up and ready for full use. Currently, Big Blue Button is being worked with as a virtual space for class meetings. While some teacher and students in the district have started using this platform, they are experiencing many technical issues that are interfering with instruction. For the time being, I will continue to utilize iBlog, iLearn (for Computer Apps only) and MiStar to communicate with all of you.

Continue to check all communications on a regular basis. I hope to continue my virtual meetings soon. If issues continue to present themselves, I will move on with the communication means I have been using for the remainder of the school year.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please email me at alraisf@dearbornschools.org.

Stay Safe!
