April 1 – Daily Lessons

Hi Everyone – I didn’t get any pictures to post today – try to keep your spirits up…send me pics of you reading again. Come on – show us that book!

I hope everyone had a decent day on Tuesday and I hope Mahmoud had a super day because it was his birthday. I saw some pictures of a “drive by” birthday wish. That was awesome. That is a birthday you will never forget Mahmoud. Happy Birthday!

Ok – I am trying to learn how and learn how to get better at this remote learning stuff. I told you that the district wants us teachers to contact families if their child is not finishing the work … right…I know I told you. So I am going to try a new thing – every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday I will be emailing and or calling parents and students if the work is not completed —STARTING TOMORROW! There are a few of you out there that did not finish yesterday’s assignments. Double check that all of yesterday’s and today’s work is done before noon on Wednesday. IXL is not optional – you need to do it.

Here are today’s lesson…

MATH

Watch…

No Zearn (unless you did not get to 14) — Read and hi-light homework helper —COMPLETE SUCCEED LESSON 13 AND SHOW YOUR PARENT!!!! I AM GOING TO ASK ALL PARENTS TO LOOK AT YOUR BOOKS AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU AREN’T DOING THE LESSONS –SORRY GUYS I HAVE TO DO IT.

***IXL – this is NOT optional – please. Go to 5th grade math look for U.3 which is called Coordinate planes as maps. It is fun!****

READING / LANGUAGE ARTS

In your Treasure book read the story, “Zathera” on pages 361-382. Send me a picture of you reading it – great story and a great movie. Really read it – you will have questions tomorrow on it.

****IXL – go to 5th grade language arts. Scroll down to the “grammar and language” section. You need to do GG7 which is dependent/independent clauses. Remember a dependent clause is not a complete sentence and an independent clause is a complete sentence. When you put a dependent and an independent clause together you get a …..complex sentence. ******

STUDY THOSE 37 WORDS!!!!!

SOCIAL STUDIES

Sign into Flocabulary and sign in. I assigned, “The French and Indian War”. You will need to watch the video, look through the vocab cards, play the vocab game, and do the read and response parts. Remember I get a report of the things you do so please do it (so I don’t have to tell mom or dad).

DAILY “TALK TIME”….REMEMBER THIS DAY?? (Logan I think you left early that day – don’t worry Logan I have other pictures that you are in).

I think this is the picture we gave to Mrs. Gyifsky (I know I did not spell that right – ugh)
You guys are a really nice looking class!!

Always remember you are part of that class and that school. Be proud of that always – you’ll get back together and things will be good. Hang in there guys — do your work — all of it —please. Miss you!!!

Now enjoy these poems!
