Bellwork gave students review problems for this week’s Final Exam

No bellwork today.  Students took the quiz over Topics 9/10.

Bellwork reviewed finding HA, VA, x-int, and y-int of rational functions.

Hwk #42 is due today (for 2nd,5th, & 6th hrs)  This hwk will be due tomorrow for 1st hour.

The remainder of the period we finished discussing sketching the graphs of rational functions.  We also reviewed a little for tomorrow’s quiz.

Bellwork gave students some review for the PSAT test coming up in the Spring.

The remainder of the period we discussed how to find x and y intercepts of Rational Functions.  We also discussed how to create the graph of a Rational Function using the Asymptotes and Intercepts.

Hwk #42 is due tomorrow.

Bellwork gave students review on finding Points of Discontinuity and labeling them as Vertical Asymptotes or Holes.

Hwk #41 is due today.

The remainder of the period we began discussing Horizontal Asymptotes.  Students first worked on an Horizontal Asymptotes Exploration.  We then discussed the results of the exploration and summarized how they could find the horizontal asymptote of a rational function just by looking at the equation.  Hwk #42 was made available but is not due tomorrow.
