Each year, students help make bowls to donate to the Empty Bowls event. The Dearborn Art Department holds this annual event in November.  The public comes to eat soup and bread and choose a bowl for a suggested donation of $5.00.  Money is raised to donate to organizations that help feed the hungry, such as Gleaners Food Bank.  Here I (Mrs. Briggs) am at this school year’s event with our bowls.
