Maples School will be open today. 
A staff member at Whitmore Bolles Elementary may have been exposed to the virus. Dr. Maleyko said it was his decision to close Whitmore Bolles, although the health department felt the risk to the students and staff was very low.  If the staff person is shown to have the virus, the District would likely be directed by the Wayne County Health Department on how to proceed. This virus has flu like symptoms which affects the lungs. Healthy children and adults are at a low risk. We are taking precautions to keep our students safe.
