Mrs. Baker, Madonna College student teacher, introduced students to the artist Winslow Homer.  They used the background, middleground, foreground and horizon line concepts that they learned while creating landscapes to make landscapes.  They painted sky, water and beach.  Students tore the water and sand and collaged them onto the sky paper.  Drawing living and non-living things that students may see at the beach was the next step.  They drew and colored them and cut them out to glue onto their seascapes.
