Past Accomplishments:

While working at Salina Intermediate School, Mr. Lawera was involved in a Documentary Film Titled: You Are Welcome Here: Support For Immigrant Students in Dearborn, Michigan.

This short film was featured in the AFT’s American Educator Magazine in the Spring of 2020.

Additionally, this short film won a Michigan Emmy Award and a Telly Silver Award for Education in 2020.

Mr. Lawera is very proud of his work that was done at Salina Intermediate over the past 10 years.
