Last week, Chief Haddad, William Ali and many community members met to discuss the traffic concerns around the Salina Campus.  There will be more police presence to help enforce speeding and to make sure everyone is driving the speed limit.  Updating crosswalks and signs are also on the agenda to be updated.  Our goal is to make sure all students are safe.

M-Step testing will continue for students in grades 5th and 8th on Thursday morning.

 

Please remind your child to sleep early, eat a good breakfast and arrive to school on time.

On April 11, 2017 we conducted classroom learning walks together at Salina Intermediate School!  It was a very positive visit.

Mr. William Ali and Dr. Maleyko stopped by Salina Intermediate on Friday, March 31st, 2017 to talk to the students about the importance of reading daily.

In addition, Mr. Ali told his famous story about how he wrestled a Bear when he was younger.  The students from Mrs. Abdulla’s Class and Mrs. Mohamed’s Class enjoyed the story.

Reminder:  There will be no school for students beginning on April 3.  (Students have no school from April 3 – April 7)

The students will return back to school on Monday, April 10, 2017.
