Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to March is Reading Month! We are excited to come together as a school community to read The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Be sure to “Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Reading” by checking the reading calendar at the top of this post each day. You may also follow your child’s teacher’s posts for additional March is Reading Month updates and activities.
Please note that there will be no school for students on Tuesday, March 3rd, as teachers will be participating in professional development sessions.
On Wednesday, March 4th, we are excited to host the Exotic Zoo Assembly for all students during the school day. This interactive experience is always a favorite! Students will have the opportunity to see a variety of live animals and may even be invited to gently touch a few. We are looking forward to this engaging and educational event.
On Friday, students are invited to dress like their favorite teacher. This is always a fun and memorable day filled with excitement and creativity.
Finally, Summer School registration remains open. Parents may pick up a paper registration form in the main office or complete the electronic registration form using the Summer School link provided: Electronic Summer School Link.

تأكدوا من “اتباع الطريق الأصفر نحو القراءة” من خلال الاطلاع على تقويم القراءة الموجود في أعلى هذا المنشور يوميًا. كما يمكنكم متابعة منشورات معلم/معلمة طفلكم للحصول على المزيد من التحديثات والأنشطة الخاصة بشهر القراءة.
يرجى العلم بأنه لا يوجد دوام للطلاب يوم الثلاثاء 3 مارس، حيث سيشارك المعلمون في جلسات التطوير المهني.
يوم الأربعاء 4 مارس، يسعدنا استضافة عرض حديقة الحيوانات الغريبة (Exotic Zoo) لجميع الطلاب خلال اليوم الدراسي. هذه التجربة التفاعلية تعد من الأنشطة المفضلة دائمًا! سيحظى الطلاب بفرصة مشاهدة مجموعة متنوعة من الحيوانات الحية، وقد يُدعون أيضًا للمس بعضها بلطف. نحن نتطلع إلى هذا الحدث التعليمي الممتع والمشوق.
يوم الجمعة، يُدعى الطلاب لارتداء ملابس تشبه معلمهم/معلمتهم المفضلة. يكون هذا اليوم دائمًا مليئًا بالمرح والحماس والإبداع.
أخيرًا، لا يزال التسجيل في المدرسة الصيفية مفتوحًا. يمكن لأولياء الأمور استلام نموذج تسجيل ورقي من المكتب الرئيسي أو إكمال نموذج التسجيل الإلكتروني من خلال رابط المدرسة الصيفية المرفق: رابط التسجيل الإلكتروني للمدرسة الصيفية.

Estimados Padres y Tutores,
¡Bienvenidos a Marzo, el Mes de la Lectura! Estamos emocionados de reunirnos como comunidad escolar para leer El Maravilloso Mago de Oz.
Asegúrense de “Seguir el Camino de Ladrillos Amarillos hacia la Lectura” revisando el calendario de lectura en la parte superior de esta publicación cada día. También pueden seguir las publicaciones del maestro(a) de su hijo(a) para obtener más información y actividades relacionadas con el Mes de la Lectura.
Por favor, tomen en cuenta que no habrá clases para los estudiantes el martes 3 de marzo, ya que los maestros estarán participando en sesiones de desarrollo profesional.
El miércoles 4 de marzo, estamos emocionados de presentar la asamblea del Exotic Zoo para todos los estudiantes durante el día escolar. ¡Esta experiencia interactiva siempre es una de las favoritas! Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de ver una variedad de animales en vivo e incluso podrán tocar algunos con cuidado. Esperamos con entusiasmo este evento educativo y divertido.
El viernes, los estudiantes están invitados a vestirse como su maestro(a) favorito(a). Este siempre es un día divertido y memorable, lleno de entusiasmo y creatividad.
Por último, la inscripción para la Escuela de Verano continúa abierta. Los padres pueden recoger un formulario impreso en la oficina principal o completar el formulario de inscripción en línea utilizando el enlace proporcionado: Enlace Electrónico de la Escuela de Verano.

Summer Discovery registration officially opened last week!
To enroll your child, please click the electronic link provided at the end of this post.
If you prefer, you may visit the main office to pick up a paper copy registration form.
Forms are available in both English and Arabic.
Tuesday is Early Release Dismissal at 2:25. A sincere thank you to all of our parents and guardians who consistently pick up their child(ren) on time each week. Your punctuality is greatly appreciated and helps our teachers get to their Professional Learning Community meetings on time.
Also in this post, you will find details on how your child can nominate their favorite teacher for the 2026 Alberta Muirhead Teacher of the Year Awards!
Lastly, you will also find information about our Eid Raffle Baskets. A special thank you to our incredible CIS Coordinator, Ms. Cother Mohamed, for her hard work and dedication in leading this wonderful initiative.
