Good morning families!

For Parents:

Yesterday was my day when I was allowed to go to both Cotter and Whitmore-Bolles to pick up supplies for your children to use to help them be successful while learning at home. I separated everything into bags for each child. Here is a list of what your child will be receiving next week:

  • Notebook of paper
  • Their journal from our classroom
  • Their family picture from our classroom (except one student whose picture I couldn’t find quickly – I was only allowed to be in the room for 30 minutes.)
  • Markers
  • Crayons
  • Chalk
  • Scissors
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Playdoh
  • Foam dice
  • Books
  • Dry erase marker
  • Dry erase plastic sleeve with their name to practice writing
  • Paper packet of pages to work on

It is very important that you do NOT let your child use up all of these supplies all at once. These supplies are designed to last you through the end of the school year. Please store them in a safe place and monitor/supervise your child while using the materials.

I need each of you to please send me a message on the Remind text today with your CURRENT address. I will be driving to all of your homes one day next week to deliver these supplies to your front porch. Once I have verified everyone’s addresses, I will let you know which day I will be dropping off your supplies.

Happy Numbers Update:

There are now 11 of you set up on Happy Numbers! All 11 children who are set up spent some time on the Happy Numbers site yesterday doing some great math learning activities!

If you have not had a chance to set this up for your child yet, PLEASE do it today. (See yesterday’s iBlog post for the directions and codes you will need.)

For the Kids:

Language, Literacy and Communication:

You are all doing wonderful with the letter Ss! I have received lots of pictures of items you have found that start with S, words you found that start with S, rainbow writing of practicing the letter S… keep up the awesome work! Here is a new video for you to practice the letter Ss today.

Math:

We are going to keep looking for patterns at home! This is a video with my favorite friend Grover where he is learning about a trickier pattern. Watch it:

Here is another great video where you will need to get up and move to make your pattern with Jack!

After you watch and follow along with the video, find something in your home to use to make your own pattern. Have your grown up take a picture of your pattern and send it to me on Remind.

Friends Pictures!
