Children use the internet to do research for school papers and other assignments, stay in touch with friends or play games with other children all over. There are an incredible amount possibilities for education and entertainment for kids looking for ways to waste time. Many of these options are safe, but there are however many dangerous ways that children entertain themselves.
First, internet filtering is available to help parents protect their children in multiple ways. As filtering software programs are flexible, they offer many levels of protection. Internet filtering can block sites with explicit videos and inappropriate language it can also keep children from online predators who harm children.Internet filters are flexible and adjustable.
Next, many parents fee
l that internet filtering will be too prohibitive. However, it’s actually a strong but very flexible way to keep children safe while they are on the World Wide Web. Internet filtering can be as strict as only allowing children to go to a couple of select websites or as casual as allowing children to view just about any site, except for the few that a parent has filtered.
Then, children can easily see explicit sites on the internet accidentally and these websites are very harmful to children. Internet filtering can block graphic sites by using an address filter, using a list created by the parents. Uncensored sites can also be filtered out using a bad site list, which parents can to if they so desire. Since internet filters use multiple methods to block inappropriate sites, they usually do an amazing job of keeping children safe from uncensored websites.Internet filters can block websites containing inappropriate language.
In conclusion, there are a lot of ways in which parents can protect their children from the hazards found on the World Wide Web. Parents should set rules for the internet usage which include letting their children know which sites are appropriate and aren’t. Even though that should solve the problem they should also installing an internet filter on their computer.

1. Kids should not be playing or listening to music on the laptop or computers because it could affect their grades and their memory’s of what there learning.
2. If kids are doing work instead of playing or listening to music on the laptop or computers they can finish their work fast and get to have free time after school or anytime there allowed to.
3. Decides kids should not be playing on laptop or computers because something bad could happened like laptop or computers could not work anymore and kids should be playing outside playing sports or hanging out with there friends at the mall or anywhere.
Many parents don’s even know what they’re children do on the internet. The best for the children is to learn everything in the computer. And the kids if they do there work they gonna get free time after school. The children if they listening or play they can’t do there work.
I believe that there should be a type of Internet Blocking software. Because nowadays there are many older people who somehow find kids on social media or games and ask about personal information. Anyways since usually these kids are gullible they’d tell them everything and some of them could get hurt by these people. But with the program they couldn’t be able to communicate with anyone unless their parents know.

I myself, love the internet. There are so much games and fun websites that you can go on when you are bored. But, unfortunately, the internet has tons of bad things on it such as cussing or blood violence or videos that are for people who are 18 or older to watch. Some parents don’t even know what their kids do on the internet. The internet filtering is the best way to take kids and maybe even adults away from harm.
There are many children that go on the internet and do not know what they are getting themselves into. There are people called cyber bullies and adding internet filtering is a great way to get rid of them. The internet is a dangerous there are bad people out there that have access to it and make harmful websites but adding internet filtering will take to long there are billions of websites out there and different search engines I don’t believe anyone has the time to add internet filtering but if they do it will be a great way to keep your children safe.

I do agree that there should be more protection when we are using any device. But i also think that kids can still listen to music, play games, use the computer to research something for school and can use their computer for anything while using protection from websites that could be inappropriate and from predators and many more. I think an easy way to get protection with ought the parents help is just to create computers that can allow you to select child mode. That way parents just have to click a button and they will already know that their child will be safe on the internet no matter what they do on the computer. It would be way easier to select child mode when you setup a device. Also this way your child can listen to appropriate music and play games that don’t allow inappropriate languages.
Kids do so many things on the internet such as bullying , texting stangers that are much older then them and things that can cause people to commit suicide. Inappropriate pop ups can come up at anytime. There are so many dangerous sites out on the internet. Kids could be fooled with a scam they would steal their parents credit card to buy things but it would turn out to be a scam you can’t just buy from any site you see what if that site isn’t trustable.

I think that parent filtering is a great idea because it prevents kids from hearing foul language in songs or convince them to do bad stuff. Kids will get convinced by either watching a video and thinking it is cool to do or see it off the internet and do it.

I have 3 reasons why parents should block internet sites. Reason 1 is, their children will be wasting their time watching/ playing games instead of worrying about school and family. Reason 2 is, lets say if your child was texting a random guy. That person might ask your child about personal information and your child will tell him. reason 3 is there are so many websites your child can choose. i think having so many websites to choose from can be dangerous.

Students should be able to use the internet but have their own side of it. there should be a kid friendly side and an adult side. For instance,If a child ends up going on an adult only side this can cause different changes in behavior and personality. Kids will often start trouble anywhere.
Some kids may use the internet for education. Like to study for tests, do homework, or practice Nwea or for the Mstep. But, they also might use it to search up inappropriate stuff. Or, playing games that have viruses. Some parents don’t pay attention to who there texting, or who they are playing with. The people that they play with like the strangers may be able to hack you or something like that. So I think parents should check on their kids every little bit. So, then kids won’t go on inappropriate stuff.

I really like this article and it is important for parents to see what their kid is doing on the internet, but also some kids dont use the internet in that way and just want to keep something privet. Other than that i feel like it is really important for parents to keep in check what there kids are doing. I liked how they explained that it is important and is also safe for parents to keep tabs on there kids when coming to the internet.

I feel that internet filtering is good for are school because we don’t know what kids could be doing on the computer while teachers and parents they could be doing non school related stuff like playing inappropriate

Many parents actually do not know what their kids do on the internet and to keep track of that they should start using internet filters, I believe if parents start using that it will block many kids from doing bad or listening to foul language. If parents decide to do this then the kids would probably get mad because they cant do all the stuff they use to do on the internet, and they cant listen to the music that they use to listen to that has foul language. Many parents should think of using these internet filters for their children to keep control of them.
I 100% agree with this problem this has caused a lot of kids “Dirty minded” because the internet is all open. Some sites have a age limit that says 18+ but to be honest no one listens to it without parent supervision.
All it takes it a few letters and a click and that would be problem with a child that no parent wants their kid to no one until they are mature enough. I think their should be locks on all inappropriate sites with a certain password or just have parents watching their kids at all times.
