The Dreadful Decision of Dropping Out

Do you know anyone that has dropped out of high school? Dropping out of high school may not seem like a problem to some people, but it can actually affect a person in many displeasing ways. High school dropouts have a harder time finishing college and a harder time with universities. Dropping out doesn’t exactly leave a nice mark on your records, and probably doesn’t look good on any resumes.

He states,“For example, drop outs have less opportunities for employment compared to college graduates and earn on average less than college graduates – Students that drop out of high school lack the academic skills and experiences that employers are seeking to fill employment positions.” No one likes to see that someone they are going to hire dropped out of high school. It’s unprofessional and doesn’t make their impression of you any better.

However, Mr. Farhat didn’t let this go unnoticed and says, “While at FHS , the staff and administration worked together on ways to intervene to ensure that we have a 100% graduation rate. As principal at McUnis I will do my best to work with the staff and students to ensure that all students are ready for high school and are on a path for high school graduation and college/career readiness.” This is a problem for too many people. Mr.Farhat says that he would encourage people not to drop out.

She says, “They are still young and immature, and should not make a regretful decision that will ruin their lives. High school students are still at a young age where they make dumb mistakes and don’t completely think about their actions and the consequences.

fullsizerender-1 High school dropout Ashley Fadah says, “Dropping out of high school does nothing but affect your education, and prevent you from exceeding your knowledge. From personal experience, dropping out of high school is probably one of the biggest regrets a person can have. You have to have many extra years of schooling because of a year or two of high school that could have saved you the effort, money, and time, had you finished.” Ashley goes on to state, “Anyone planning on dropping out of high school needs to think of the consequences and whether or not you’re going to accept them.”

Dropping out of high school is a huge risk and shouldn’t be a choice. All students should have to finish high school, and whether they go to college or not is their decision. Dropping out does nothing but ruin students’ lives and education. The schooling we are giving from preschool to high school is a privilege that we should use to our advantage, not just throw away.
