Spring is finally here. Snow is finally melting. Temperatures are finally rising. Many people are excited to finally play outside. Others may miss the snow. Temperatures are as high as 60 degrees, which is great compared to the harsh winter.

“I’m very excited that spring is here,” Says Aya Bazzi, 4th grader at McDonald School. “I’ve been waiting forever to be able to play outside. I enjoy playing sports such as basketball and baseball. I hope the temperatures don’t drop anymore either. I’ll have to admit that I’ll miss sledding, but oh well!”

“I’m sad that the snow is gone.” Says Ali Hammoud, 5th grader. “I really enjoyed playing in the snow, and I’ll miss it. I also went sledding a lot, which was really fun. But now the the snow melted, I could enjoy playing the sports that I love and hanging out with my friends more.”

“I’m also very happy that the snow melted.” Says Ali Beydoun. “I was so sick and tired of how bad the roads were. It sometimes took me hours to get to work, when it should take me around 30 minutes! I was outraged. Now that the snow melted, I won’t have to be late to work anymore. I can also enjoy the nice weather instead of the freezing temperatures that we’ve had.”

Many people I talked to seem very happy that the weather has been getting warmer. Although, the weather hasn’t been staying consistently warm. For example, one day would be over 70 degrees, and the next day the weather would drop to 30 degrees.  “It’s like a roller coaster of emotions, we never know what the next day may bring.”, said April Kincaid, a teacher at Unis Middle School.

In conclusion, many people are excited that Spring is here, and the snow finally melted. They are most excited for the rising temperatures and being able to play outside. Others are relieved that the roads aren’t covered with ice anymore. As anyone who lives in Michigan knows, we can experience four seasons in one day.
