Mother/Daughter vs. Father/Son which are closer?
“Hey, mom you want to have a girls night out?”or “ Son let’s go fishing !” Do you think its true? Are you more attached to your mother or father. All families have different schedules and routines, but at the end of the day you might not always have a strong relationship with both your parents. You might be a teenage girl that is more attached to her mother. Do you think a mother is more approachable than some fathers? Lets see.
Dunia Dakroub, a fourteen year old student at Unis Middle School and Jamal Hamoud also a student at Unis have their own views to share about which parent they spend more time with and which parent more enjoyable to be with. Both parents could be great and you could have a strong relationship with both but in most cases kids can talk to one parent about one thing and something else to the other.
Jamal Hamoud states that he feels he is closer to his mom rather than his dad. He feels that he spends more time with his mom and due to work he doesn’t spend too much time with his dad. Jamal’s dad says,” we have a close relationship”. His father rated his relationship with his son 7 out of 10, 10 being the best father/son relationship and 1 being the worst. Now some may cringe that a father doesn’t have a 10/10 relationship with his son but that wouldn’t be leaving room for improvement. As human beings we should always leave room for improvement because there is no such thing as perfect parenting but we should strive for perfection.
Dunia Dakroub says that the relationship with her mother is incredibly close. Dunia’s mom says,”A mother/daughter relationship is much more important than a father/daughter because their are certain things a child could tell their mother but not their father.” Dunia’s 14 year old brother Tarek also chose his mom however, not quite as close as mom and Dunia. Tarek said, “But we have a strong bond that will never fade.” Dunia’s mom thinks,” my relationship with my daughter is certainly different from my sons but both are treated equally and both are loved very much”
All in all both families seem to have good relationships with each other but it seems like a mother’s schedule is clearer and is there on a daily basis. A mother/daughter relationship is going to be different from a father/son relationship but both are important to have and a parent should always embrace both.

I think your story was very effective and very true. A mother and daughter relationship is stronger then a father and sons relationship. My sister and my mom’s relationship is a lot stronger than me and my dad’s. You need both of your parents but sometimes you can tell one something not the other. Parents try to spend time with their children but the mother almost always has the most time. I really liked how you worded everything and your story made me think of how i see my mom more often then i see my dad. Your story was very true i enjoyed it a lot and I hope for more stories as good as this one.
I agree, a lot of people are closer with their moms then with their dads. A lot of dads have full schedules that kids barley see their dad. But a lot of mothers don’t work and stay at home and by that a child can tell his problems right away instead of waiting for his dad to come from work. I believe that parents bond with their kids as much as they can even if they are not always their but they will always love their children from far away or from near.
