Welcome 5th Graders

Hello 5th Graders,
I just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Ms. Dexter, and I will be your virtual 5th Grade teacher this year!  Check out my introduction video here:https://drive.google.com/file/d/15Stb-o8ThXPDuUBU2Y3shXSNN7mRhVS-/view?usp=sharing

Monday is the first official start to the school year starting at 8:55AM.  We will NOT be holding any virtual or live meetings the first week of school, as the district is still working on getting students’ Schoology accounts up and running. Schoology will be the new platform that you will find all of your class information, assignments, contact information, etc.  Parents can sign up for an account as well to keep track of all your information.  More information to come next week.

What you need to know for the first week:
1. There will be two assignments for the first week of school. One will be a scavenger hunt and the other will be a Flipgrid assignment where you will introduce yourself to the class. Please check your email Monday for more information.

2. Materials will be distributed from your home school (Salina, Maples, Long, or Lowery).  Please check the school blog or have your parents call the school to find out what day you will need to go and pick up materials.

3. I will be calling home starting on Monday to make sure you have chromebooks and internet to make this your most successful.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.  We are going to have a great year!  I look forward to hearing from you and learning together this year!
