Week of September 24

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I am catching up on sleep and snuggling my son.

We are off to another full week of greatness.  This week we are wrapping up our NWEA testing and soon we will move on to small groups instruction based on our test results. Some students are still completing their DRA reading tests and we will be starting iReady (another reading assessment which will give us in depth information on how to help your child).

Here we are lining up after a successful fire drill.

We do have a mid-module math assessment that is scheduled for Wednesday, however it may fall on Thursday if we do not get through lesson 8 on time.

We also happen to have a social studies unit 1 test on Friday. We are working on our study guide in class and students will be expected to take it home to review.

Please make sure to check that your child is completing all their assignments on Parent Connect.

Have a great beginning of fall!

Week of September 17

Happy Saturday!

My little one is on his second nap, so I decided to get this done early.

Next week is a busy one! We will finish NWEA and everyone should be starting their DRA (reading) test. On top of that we have lots of homework, so please see the attached file for the homework and tips on how you can help extend our learning at home.

Please remember to send in HEALTHY snacks. We want kids to satisfy their stomachs, but not keep them jittery and sugar high.

Book orders due Tuesday!

Have a great weekend!

Week of September 10-14

Happy Sunday! (at least it is for me right now)

Tomorrow starts our 3rd week of school! I am excited and looking forward to the coming weeks. This week we will continue taking our Fall NWEAs.  Don’t forget Friday is a half day. Please make sure your child brought in ALL their supplies! We only received 3 disinfectant wipes from parents, and I already have a cold and am hoping not to spread it to students! Please click on the link below for a pdf file of the adventures we will be having in the coming week. Also it will contain homework assignments and spelling lists.  Have a great week!
