On Monday we worked on vocabulary related to the unit and the ‘posters’ that student’s did in class on Friday. Vocabulary should be defined and submitted.
Students are working on an essay about our serial killer projects based on one of these claims. They should have a rubric to follow for the assignment. (On the back of their Venn Diagram sheet)
What ‘makes’ a serial killer?
Claim: The early life of a child can lead to the creation of a serial killer.
What is a serial killer’s modus operandi?
Claim: The modus operandi of serial killers are unique.
A sample organizational scheme is below, and we went over it in class.
Today students used their serial killer note taker from presentations to compare and contrast serial killers backgrounds and modus operandi. They utilized a venn diagram and will use this to complete a CER (claim, evidence, reasoning) in class tomorrow.
This is the reading guide that student’s worked on from the Forensic for Dummies book related to autopsy. (We will be starting a unit on death, dying, and decomposition soon…)
Today we started presentations in class of the various group’s serial killer. Students that are not presenting are filling out a note-taker to use to do an assignment later in the week.
The end of the marking period is THIS FRIDAY! This project will be the last summative grade before grades are due.
