School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”
If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools. Today in forensic science, we did a ‘give one get one’ about blood. It was a brainstorming activity to start our blood unit. Students yesterday worked on a reading guide relating to blood typing.
Chemistry is currently starting a unit about the atom. Yesterday students read about the different models of the atom and completed a chart relating to the models. Chemistry received a study guide due Monday. Also due on Monday includes the popcorn lab from Friday, and a CER about one of the demos I did this week. Their test is on Matter and It’s Properties. The study guide can be found here: review-sheet-chapter-3

Forensic Science has been working on drawing a crime scene sketch to scale (summative project), which will be due Tuesday.
Chemistry has been studying density and working on a summative density column lab. There will be a test Tuesday or Wednesday.

Chemistry has been working on metric conversions and measuring volume. They will have a short quiz tomorrow on metric conversions.
