Ms. Szalai's 5th Grade

Hello Families – I know your kids are happy! Unfortunately, yesterday’s day off caused us to miss another field trip. Tomorrow we will check with transportation and Pewabic and reschedule, if we can’t then I will send home the money that was turned in. I will let you know as soon as I know.

We are still waiting on Henry Ford’s Planetarium repair news. As soon as I hear any news on that field trip I will let you know also. The majority of students paid for that one – if we are able to go then I will remind those who haven’t turn in the slip and money. If we are unable to go then I will send home that money as well. All money is locked in the school’s safe.

Normally I do not give any homework on weekends, but with these snowdays there will be a couple things due on Monday. I am letting everyone know now in case your student wants to do them today to avoid weekend homework.

• The spelling test will now be on Monday. Five times each and study.
• Zearn lesson 9 must be complete (they also can to 10 if they want)
• All students need to have at least one hour of “Readtheory” with a time frame of now until Sunday night. All the students know how to adjust the dates to reflect recent work and scores. The current grade level is 5.6 or above.

I am just letting everyone have a “heads up” in case you have a busy weekend planned – I do remember how busy family life can get.
