IXL – WHEN I ASSIGN ANYTHING ON IXL – DO YOUR BEST TO EARN AT LEAST “80” THAT IS THE MINIMUM SCORE YOU SHOULD AIM FOR. OF COURSE IF YOU GET 100 THAT IS LIKE EARNING A “1”.

MATH –

By now you have figured out that Zearn had a “hiccup” with our class. There are thousands of schools using it so I guess it can be expected. I can’t figure it out so you will not have Zearn until we get to lesson 14. If you are not on 14 – get there please.

For today you need to:

• watch the video on lesson 12
• read and hi-light the homework helper
• complete Succeed 12 doing the very best you can – if you must skip a problem or two that is fine

READING AND LANGUAGE ARTS

Reading – In Treasures read the story on pages 361-382, the stories title is “Zathera”. It is a great story with great illustration. There is also a movie if your parents can find it you should watch it. Read it for sure – assignment tomorrow for this story.

Language Arts – Dependent/Independent Clauses – remember a dependents clause is not a complete sentence, an independent clause can be a sentence all by itself. The two clauses together make a complex sentence.

****Again go to IXL this time to 5th grade Social Studies. You will do G1. It is called, The American Revolution the 13 colonies under British Rule. You need to earn at least 6 out of 8. READ EVERY SCREEN CAREFULLY SO YOU GET THE CORRECT ANSWER!******

DAILY “TALK” – HEY EVERYONE I NEED EVERYONE TO BE PATIENT AND HANG IN THERE. I JUST HEARD THAT THERE IS A CHANCE WE MAY NOT GO BACK TO SCHOOL THIS YEAR. THEY ARE TRYING TO DECIDE THAT RIGHT NOW. I KNOW THEY ARE MAKING THAT DECISION CAREFULLY SO MORE PEOPLE STAY HEALTHY. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THERE WILL BE NO MORE SCHOOL WORK. IT MEANS ACTUALLY THE OPPOSITE – THERE ARE TEAMS OF SCHOOL ADMINISTERS (BOSSES TO THE BOSSES) THAT WILL GIVE TEACHERS DIRECTION ON WHAT KIND OF THINGS TO HAVE YOU DO. THEY WILL WANT TO KNOW THAT ALL STUDENTS ARE DOING THE WORK. MOST OF YOU ARE DOING EXCELLENT – THERE ARE A HANDFUL OF YOU THAT NEED TO GET BUSY. MRS SABBAGH IS HAVING THE TEACHERS DO A VIRTUAL MEETING WITH HER ON THURSDAY SO I WILL HAVE MORE INFORMATION THEN.

I AM SO HAPPY TO BE YOUR TEACHER DURING THIS SCARY TIME. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU. WHEN THIS IS OVER – WE WILL HAVE A PICNIC EVEN IF IT IS IN THE SUMMER. I WILL EVEN LET YOU TEACH ME SOME OF THOSE TIK- TOK DANCES YOU DO SO WELL AND YOU CAN PLAY A GAME OF FOOTBALL!! I MIGHT EVEN PLAY WITH YOU!!! HANG TOUGH GUYS – MISS YOU!!
