March 25 – Daily Lessons

Well… since I can’t hang your work in the hall right now here is some work you should be proud of! Enjoy these poems from “poets who didn’t know it” (do you get it?)!

Now for a blast from the past:

This was my favorite because I love horses.
The statue looks so real!
What is Mariam and Rawand looking at?

Ok now for the not so fun stuff. Math first today…

Watch the incredibly entertaining video-

Do Zearn lesson 8

As usual read and hi-light the homework helper

As usual do Succeed lesson 8 – for real – I’m not kidding (I’m giving you the “eye” so do it!

READING

Read your chapter book for 30 minutes – today I want you to go to the assignment in GC (googleclassroom) and go to the “reading journal” – give me the main event and two supporting details AND explain in detail what the big problem is WITH some citing from your book as proof.

Get on Readtheory for 30 minutes – work on knowledge points.

SOCIAL STUDIES

Go to the online book. Read pages 88-90. You will need to type in three thing about the New England, Middle and Southern colonies (and not just the information on the map). Also you will need to type in the meaning of “export, excess, and textiles” get the meaning from the context of the passage. Googleclassroom

SCIENCE – Watch the video under “science – earth’s systems”. Watch the second video called Earth Systems #2. Tomorrow you will need a piece of paper and your crayon box handy.

IXL

I need everyone to start doing some or all of the IXL work today. I need to see that everyone can get in and start on the assignments that were in yesterday’s blog. I get a report of everyone’s progress.

Ok now for the daily advice –this is from my dad because I am talking to him on speaker phone right now and he said he wants to “put his two cents in” – that’s and idiom – I hope you remember that. (Now remember I already told you that my dad can be bossy and that I still listen to him even though I am kinda old). He says to tell you that even though you are stuck in the house you still have to use your good manners. He said, “You need to say please, thank you, excuse me, I’m sorry” even though you are cooped up with the same people everyday. And he said ….”Tell your students not to forget that!” Sooooo you have been told! Now you know where I get my bossiness from. Be good today – miss you.
