READING
Last week the story was a historical fiction story, this week it is a biography which is a story of a person’s life written by another person. The name of the story is “When Esther Morris Headed West”. It is in your Treasure book pages 295-306. For today all I want you to do is to really read the story – pay attention to what may be opinion and what would be facts.
Read you chapter book for 30 minutes. Go to googleclassroom and describe two of the main characters. Describe physical characteristics and personality characteristics.
SOCIAL STUDIES
Go to the Online Book read pages 81- 83
When you are done go to goggle classroom type in the definitions (get the meaning from the context of the passage) for :
- commerce
- self-sufficient
- plantations
- indigo
Then type in two things you learned about the “cities”, two things about “colonial towns”, and two things about “Southern Plantations”
OK MONDAY’S ADVICE TO YOU…FROM ME (FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART)…WHATEVER YOUR PARENTS MAKE FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND DINNER…EAT IT WITH A SMILE ON YOUR FACE AND TELL THEM THAT IT IS THE BEST FOOD YOU EVER EVER ATE!!! IT’S NOT AS EASY TO GO OUT AND GET YOU WHATEVER YOU WANT — YOUR PARENTS ARE PROBABLY TIRED OF PICKY EATERS …SO DON’T BE ONE. EAT YOUR FOOD WHATEVER IT IS AND TELL THEM IT IS DELICIOUS – YOU’LL MAKE THEM HAPPY – YOU MIGHT EVEN SURPRISE THEM – AND YOU WILL BE “KEEPING THE PEACE”.
MISS YA ALL!!!
