First prize–$500
Second prize–$250
Third prize–$250

Important dates:
November 1st–All sold and unsold tickets/stubs with money are due.  (It is a legal requirement that we collect all tickets for this fundraiser, regardless of whether they’ve been sold

While not an official PTA or Lindbergh event, the annual Road Rally has become a much-anticipated yearly tradition for Lindbergh parents, staff, and friends–adults only!

This year’s theme is “A Nightmare on Waverly Street”! Teams will participate in tasks or activities at each stop in order to receive clues to the next location. Start planning your scary movie team costumes now!  Also, follow the event page on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/events/2995788987312387/

Please label an envelope with Road Rally and put your team name, members, and $15 per member or $25 per couple inside. Place the envelope in the mailbox at 208 Tannahill, the PTA mailbox, or you can hand it to Danielle Lewis. Teams can include as many members as legally allowed for your vehicle. Please have all envelopes turned in by Monday, October 14th! Feel free to share the event with others! Thank you!

From the PTA:
Don’t forget to join the PTA!  They do amazing things for our class and students!

We are having  our annual WATCH D.O.G.S. Pizza Night!

When:    Tuesday, Oct. 8th from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Where:   Lindbergh cafeteria and auditorium!

Please bring your child and enjoy some dinner and refreshments while learning about our wonderful program!
What is WATCH D.O.G.S.?

WATCH D.O.G.S. ® (Dads Of Great Students) is a family and community engagement educational initiative. There are 2 primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. ® program. 1) To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. 2) To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

Program Benefits

• Students gain positive male role models.

• Schools gain an extra set of eyes and ears. The presence of a father or father figure will provide an additional deterrent to bullying, enhance a sense of security in the building, and will help to create an environment conducive to learning.

• Fathers get a glimpse of their students’ everyday world and learn about the increasingly complex challenges and decisions today’s youth are facing. As a result, they can learn to relate better to their student and hopefully connect with them.

• Fathers gain a greater awareness of the positive impact they can have on their student’s life in three critical areas including: academic performance, self-esteem, social behavior.  We hope you can make it to our Pizza Night!  See you there!

Our PTA meeting was a great success last night and lots of new info was discussed.  We are excited for a new year and also establishing some new rules that will help make things move more smoothly for all of us.  Our families voted to implement our new PTA code of conduct which all members are required to follow.
A new requirement for our PTA this year is that all Homeroom Parents have a 2019-2020 paid PTA membership and a current background check.  Due to dealings with cash, payments, donations and access to our tax ID form and our students, our HRP’s must follow the mission and goals of the PTA and be safe for our students.  All HRP memberships must be paid and forms turned in by Monday, September 9th, 2019 to be considered for the HRP role.  All background checks and memberships will be validated with our records.  Our first mandatory meeting will be Friday, September 13th.  You can attend either the am mtg (8:45am) OR pm mtg(3:15pm) in the cafeteria.  More details to follow on the mtg.
