Fossil Fuels: A Concept Map

Hours 1, 3, and 4: Per our earlier discussion in class on Thursday, students are expected to complete the concept map on fossil fuels by using the first attachment of  Set Two of attachments for Chapter 5, under the iblog date, March 28, 2017. Students were highly advised to go to that page, click on that attachment, and print it so that each can have a copy of it; otherwise, students will have to refer to the handwritten copy off the Promethean board tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, back at the palace…….

Hour 6: You, my disciples, will be answering and correcting the section review on fossil fuels upon your entrance to the class, as you should have completed the work at home and no class time will be given, since many of you have been dilly-dallying in class, and that is a non-negotiable issue. Furthermore, you, my “future high schoolers” will embark upon our study of alternative sources of energy, Section 3, since it appears that you are mastering the subject matter very rapidly (wink, wink) through your ongoing classroom shenanigal disruptions. On a far more serious note, should you continue with a such ongoing behavior, the classroom teacher will not hesitate to tag you with a Chapter 5 test on Tuesday, the 25th of April 2107. Make no mistake about it! Do heed your classroom teacher’s warning, as the end of marking period 5 is knocking on your door!

TEST: CHAPTER 4: ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS: TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2017

ATTENTION HOUR 6: Your test in on Monday not Tuesday!

Students will be evaluated upon our Chapter 4, environmental problems and their solutions.

What to study? What to study? What to study?

1) Students are very highly recommended to study their classroom notes from our PowerPoint presentation, as well as any created notes through their strategy of choice for all sections.

2) Students are to study the key concepts and ideas in the chapter that were selectively reinforced by the creation of the Frayer models.

3) Students are to study any bellwork that was done in class, the end of each section review, because there are a series of reinforcement review questions to help them determine how well they understand the ideas and concepts in that section. Go over ALL of them in each section, as well as the chapter review that we normally complete on the day before the test.

4) Students are to check the iblog for any previous and pertinent attachments that are related to the chapter only, dating back to March 28, 2017, since the classroom teacher has informed the students that they are responsible for any posting and to stay up-to-date on the iblog postings.
