THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2019: CLASS BELLWORK TEST

Students will be evaluated upon their class bellwork that falls in the range of December 10, 2018 and February 13, 2019. Students need to make sure that the bellwork notebook is in order so that they can perform well, as it is an open-notebook summative evaluation.

ISN Homework: Create a model of the moon phases!

Copy and paste the following website into your web-browser to view:

As you view your simulation, you will need to include:

  • The Earth and Sun,                                                                                                                      The moon in the following phases:
  • New moon,
  • full moon,
  • waxing crescent,
  • waning crescent,
  • First quarter,
  • third quarter,
  • waxing gibbous, and
  • waning gibbous
  • For each phase label the degree, day, and % illuminated.
  • You will also need to watch the horizon diagram and explain when the sun and moon are closest together and furthest apart during the moon’s phases.
