Monday, November 18: Today was all about reviewing and preparing for tomorrow’s assessment! Students started off the hour by grabbing their chromebooks and working on their AgileMind practices (there were 2 total) and then moving along to the two review sheets they’d picked up at the end of the hour on Friday. All four assignments are due at the beginning of the hour tomorrow before the assessment!

The “Applying Properties of a Triangle” Review answer key is located at the end of the review posted on Friday; please check your work there.

Tuesday, November 19: After 15 minutes of review at the start of the hour, students spent the rest of the hour Proving and Justifying just how they can Apply the Properties of Triangles on our assessment.

Wednesday, November 20:

Thursday, November 21:

Friday, November 22: SAT Practice Packet is due today! Make sure that you completed all 30 questions, along with your explanations/work!

Monday, November 11: Today marked the beginning of Unit 7, Properties of a Triangle, so we reviewed some basic triangle knowledge (how to classify them based on sides and angles) and then started talking about the relationships of their sides.

Tuesday, November 12: Snow day, no school!

Wednesday, November 13: Back from our impromptu day off, we spent the day talking about the interior angles of triangles and how to solve for them/prove what they are.

Thursday, November 14: Switching from the interior angles to the exterior, we proved how to solve for an exterior angle based off of its relationship with the remote interior angles. Any time left over at the end of class was spent working on our first AgileMind Practice of the unit.

Friday, November 15: Finishing up the last of our new information for Unit 7, we talked about three special relationships formed within isosceles triangles. We then revisited last week’s assessments and talked about some of the most notable difficulties we’d faced there. Lastly, students picked up their two reviews for next Tuesday’s assessments so that way they’ll have plenty of time to practice.

Monday, November 4: We spent today practicing and building our skills with proofs, starting off with supports and scaffolds before moving into writing an entire proof all on our own. We also received our first SAT Practice packet which will be due at the start of class on Friday, November 22.

Tuesday, November 5: No school today, enjoy the day off!

Wednesday, November 6: Today and tomorrow are all about practicing for Friday’s assessments! We got a third AgileMind practice and two review worksheets, all of which need to be checked in by Moylan by the end of class tomorrow!

Thursday, November 7: A couple of our classmates got the privilege of working in a small group led by Ms. Rosbury while the rest of us continued working on our three assignments from yesterday. Remember, have Moylan check them all in by the end of the hour!

Friday, November 8: After a quick Q and A about the reviews after bell work, we took our Unit 6 Assessment on Proving/Justifying Geometric Statements and Applying Transformations!
