REMINDER-Spirit Week begins on Monday! Show your school spirit by participating. Monday is Michigan vs. Michigan State day! Support your favorite college by wearing team apparel or by wearing school colors. MSU-Green/White. UofM-Maze/Blue.

  • SLOT-Add Plot (Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action) and Theme to your Tree Map for “The Most Dangerous Game.” Review all 5 elements of short story for your SLOT quiz tomorrow. You must be able to identify and explain all 5 elements.
  • SSR-Read novel for 10 minutes. Mrs. Lichocki will continue conferences.
  • MDG-Continue Disturbia. Complete the plot diagram flow map as you watch. This will be due on Friday after the movie concludes.

REMINDER-Please donate any novels you have lying around your house to Mrs. Lichocki’s classroom libray!

  • SLOT-Add Conflict (Internal and External) to your Tree Map. Give examples of each type of conflict found in “The Most Dangerous Game.”
  • SSR-Read novel for 10 minutes. Conferencing with Mrs. Lichocki begins today! We will have an informal chat about your novel 🙂
  • MDG-Continue watching Disturbia. Complete the Plot Diagram Flow Map while you watch the movie. Exit Ticket- Two of the major themes from Disturbia are as follows: “Think before you act” and “Your reputation precedes you.” Give an example from the film for each theme. Make sure to explain your reasoning. 

  • SLOT-Add setting to your Tree Map from yesterday. On the Tree Map, describe the setting of “The Most Dangerous Game.”
  • SSR-Read novel for 10 minutes. Reflection-Total the pages you have read for Card Marking #1. In your reflection, explain why you read so few, or so many pages. How will you increase pages read for Card Marking #2?
