Weekly Schedule
Well, it’s our last week of school work. You’re almost done parents and students! Thank you to all of you. Everyone has worked hard to make sure students education remained a priority. Enjoy your last week of school!! I will send google duo invite out before Wednesday.
Google Duo Schedule for Thursday 5-28
Hello, I was so sad today in our classroom looking at all the empty chairs and wishing that all the kids were in them and we were going about our normal day. I sure hope we can go back to school in the fall full time. It will be some time before we find out that information though. I packed up their belongings from inside their desk. I did not send any supplies home that were in our shared desktop caddies because I had no way of knowing what stuff belonged to who, so no scissors, crayons, pens, pencils, erasers, etc… were sent home. If they had a supply box or bag inside their desk with items in it, those did go home. It’s mostly folders, notebooks, and student work that was hanging in the hall. A few students had their own headphones so those were also packed (if they were inside their desk). More details will come about the pick up day. As of right now I’m assuming it will be one day next week, as other teachers will be working on this tomorrow or Friday.
For tomorrow’s google duo the kids will be playing charades. I will be texting you 3 different things your child will have to act out. I have 3 groups so I will be sending the same things to 3 people as a group text (they will be kids that are not in your child’s group) Students will each take turns acting one out at a time and the other students will raise their hand when they think they know it. We will repeat this until they each have done their third one. I will expect them to be on mute and to raise their hand when they think they know what the person is acting out. After a few hands go up, I’ll call on someone to answer. If they have time, have them practice a little before the google duo.

Weekly Schedule 5-26
Hello, hope those of you who celebrate EID had a blessed Saturday and Sunday celebration.
This schedule is for Tuesday-Friday. I will be going into our classroom on Wednesday to pack up their desk belongings and clean/pack up our room so that a deep cleaning can be done over the summer. So, I will be moving our google duo to Thursday instead of Wednesday. I’ll send a schedule for that in the near future. I’ll give you information about the picking up of their desk contents soon as well.
Keep up the Great Work and Google Duo Schedule
Good Afternoon, hope you enjoyed yesterday’s sunny day. It was a great day to be outside. I just checked their iready and Zearn. Most everybody did the required 3 lessons of Zearn, the few students who didn’t I will call this week and remind them how important it is to complete them. There are 6 modules, those of you still in module 4 need to pick up the pace a bit as completing all 6 modules will help you be ready for second grade math. Great job on iready, almost 100% of you did your iready minutes 🙂 I also enjoyed reading about the Life Cycle of a Butterfly. This week you will be writing an informational piece about Memorial Day, as we celebrate it a week from tomorrow. That also means…you have this Friday and next Monday off of school work (of course feel free to do some iready and Zearn if you have some catching up to do ). This week’s google duo will have you going on scavenger hunt around your house. I will give you an item to go find (you can put your phone down and you will have a minute or two to go find the item, if you can’t find the item just come back so we can share and then I will send you off for the next item.

Google Duo-Schedule
This Wednesday, I will be asking them “would you rather” questions. For example: Would you rather eat candy or donuts? Then, when I get a thumbs up students will take turns sharing which one and why they chose it. Again, if you don’t have the app and would like to join us, just go to your app store on your phone and type in google duo. Here is the schedule, I will again, do my best to stay on track, however cannot predict any unknown difficulties that may arise.

Weekly Schedule May 11th
Hello and Happy Mother’s Day! I know you all have been working extra hard this 2020 Mother’s Day year. Hope you felt lots of love today. You deserve it! So last week we tried Google Duo. We ran into some issues but now I know more of what to do and what not to do. I think all of you have downloaded the app. If you have not downloaded the app onto your phone (not your computer), please do so if you’d like to join us. One thing we learned is that it’s best to turn your microphone off when you are not the person who is talking. Also, if I ask you to hang up, because not everyone is there, that means you have to hang up and don’t dial us back. Just wait until the invite comes from me again. Then answer it. Don’t keep pressing the red button. Hopefully we worked all the kinks out last Wednesday and this week will go smoother. Thank you to those of you who were patient with me as I tried to figure out how to work the app. Tomorrow, I will be posting times for Wednesday again, with directions of what you will need to present for the phone meeting and a list of names with times. I will try to change it around from last week so you can see some new faces.

Supply Pick-Up
SNOW MATH WORKBOOK AND OPTIONAL SUPPLY PICKUP SCHEDULE
Dear Snow Families,
We will have an optional math workbook and supply (pencils/paper/notebook) pickup on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. This will be a drive up process in the Snow parking lot off of Culver St. In order to keep social distancing measures, we will have tables set up outside by class. Each table will have directions posted. We recommend all parents wear masks and gloves and keep at least 6ft distance from other parents.
We are also asking all parents to return your child’s Book Bag(s). We will have a box at the drop off table outside.
