Many people consider Babe Ruth is without a question, the single greatest player in the history of American baseball. “Babe Ruth”Jr was an American professional baseball player whose career in Major League Baseball spanned 22 seasons, from 1914 through 1935. He was born on February 6, 1895 Pigtown, Baltimore. A father of 4.
They called him “The Bambino” and “The Sultan of Swat”. He began his MLB career as a stellar left-handed pitcher for the Boston Red Sox which then achieved his greatest fame as a slugging outfielder for the New York Yankees. Babe Ruth has broken many records over his career. He’s a 4 time World Series champion. Also 714 home runs career home runs and record 40 home runs in each of 11 seasons. Which then led the league in home runs 12 times.
Ali Mustapha a 8th grader at Unis Middle School I interviewed about Babe Ruth.He said that, “Babe Ruth is the greatest baseball player of all time because of all the records he broke and how talented he is.” Also, another student I interviewed Ali Saad a 8th grader at Unis Middle School stated, ”He was a great player and one of the bets hopefully there’s more people great as him.” “He is not the greatest player of all time but he is definitely in the top 10.”
Right now Steroids are used a lot in the MLB. In the 90s the greats were all skill. Compare to right now steroids is a big thing. Players get suspended and banned from the MLB for drug overdose. The great players of the game of baseball are true players. No one in the league right now is as good as Babe Ruth.
“The Bambino” Babe Ruth the record breaking machine will always be remembered for what he did in the game we play baseball. Their won’t be another Babe Ruth. Until now we just have the overdose steroids baseball players.
