Do you remember the last time you saw a movie without CGI? Movies have evolved with a very noticeable difference. Almost all the movies have CGI or expensive equipment that can make things look more realistic. Most movies also looked like plays and were much more productive than editing.
The difference between old and new movies is very noticeable, as you can see how it have fewer colors. Most movies in the 1800s-1900s were in black and white. According to one of the students in Unis Middle School, Ismael Altairi, “Movies have dramatically changed due to CGI and improvement on the camera quality and equipment”. Another change is the budgets over the years. Most big-budget movies usually cost $100 million to film. Back in the 1920s, it usually averaged $60,000-$375,000. These costs are for production equipment and settings. According to one of the students at Unis Ismael Altairi, “the prices have risen due to the inflation that happened through the 90s and 2000s”. For example, movie tickets used to cost around $1.65, and now they cost around $11.92.
Since these movies use CGI, they have become much easier to direct and act in. They can also use stunt doubles and edit them to look like normal actors. According to a Unis student, Moetaz Alshawesh, “Sunt doubles are one of the reasons companies have to spend more money because they have to pay all the stunt doubles”. This equipment became popular in the 1990s and has become even more popular today. According to a student at Unis Moetaz Alshawesh, “One of the biggest changes that have become more common is the methods of filming and directing in bigger movies”. For example, in some TV shows where they have to do stunts with cars, they usually have a green screen in the background to make the car look like it’s moving. Big production companies such as Disney, Marvel, and DC have been producing some of the biggest movies for many years. According to Mohammad Mawri, he has been watching Disney movies with his dad all his childhood, and they still watch current and upcoming films. Mohammad Mawri has also stated that these same companies are making the biggest movies because of their big budgets and the amount of money they pay actors. They are also the reason they have long-lasting, entertaining movies. They have been doing it for a while, and they know what the audience wants to watch and how it changes as time passes by.
The evolution of movies is one of the most interesting things since it has changed in many ways as time has gone on. They have some of the biggest changes that have had a big impact on many TV shows and movies. There has been a difference in movies and the actors. This is one of history’s most important and interesting changes since it keeps evolving by the day.
