Did you know that at the time of you reading this article, the United States is almost 20 trillion dollars in debt? That’s enough money to fill the Empire State building 3 times! That number just keeps going up and it’s not going to go down unless the United States acts quickly.
Jamil beydoun, a Unis Middle school student thinks,“this kind of debt can bring out country to ruins if we don’t act fast because when other countries look at debt and they see 19 trillion dollars, they’re not going to want to trade with the U.S anymore.” Jamil also thinks that,“this kind of debt can end horribly, especially with the new president inaugurated.” Jamil also believes,“this problem started when the U.S. raised the taxes in hope to pay off their 43 million dollar debt in 1775.”

Ali dekmak, a Unis Middle school student thinks that,“this problem needs to be resolved quickly before it becomes an even bigger problem or an even larger debt.” Ali believes that,“this problem can be resolved by borrowing money from other countries. This problem started when the U.S borrowed money from other countries in 1776 to fund the war.” Ali believes that we can end this kind of problem by paying off this debt.

Hussein saad, a Unis Middle school student believes that,“this kind of debt can affect the U.S by the economy being low and that the U.S isn’t gonna be able to deal with it if it gets to out of control. Also, this problem won’t end because with the new president elected, he will be busy with other things and won’t have time to deal with the U.S debt.” Hussein believes,“this problem can be resolved by investing money from the wealthy and paying those investors back later.This problem began because the federal budget is way too high and needs to be cut in half in order to resolve this big issue.”

In conclusion the U.S is 20 trillion dollars in debt and needs to act quickly before this problem becomes an even greater issue.
