What happened in Walmart? What do people think about the incident, you may ask? Well, you came to the right place. If you don’t know what had occurred, there was a suspicious item placed outside of Walmart in Dearborn and many people thought it was a bomb. So I have asked students and a teacher about their opinions and if they were there. So let’s get started with these phenomenal details!
Walmart was not expecting this situation to happen at all. I don’t think there has ever been a situation this terrifying at a local grocery store like Walmart. Donna Barranger, an ELA teacher at Unis Middle School, stated “I was on my way there to buy face paint for the school carnival, but I saw the incident on Channel 7 News and decided to stay at home.” She then added, “ The incident was ludacris and she thinks they need more security and protection.”
Mohamed Ahmed, a 7th grader at Unis Middle School says, “I was there during the incident in the pharmacy aisle, and I was walking out.” He then added,” I saw a bunch of police and we couldn’t walk out. Dearborn is being polluted by bad behavior by people.” People don’t realize what is actually going on sometimes. Everyone that were inside of Walmart probably were terrified because no one could exit
or enter!
“I’m just going to go more to Target than Walmart”. Says Reem Kassir, an 8th grader at Unis. She also stated,“The incident was very scary and Walmart needs a lot of security, and needs to pay more attention in this area.” Other security departments need to get on it right away. If they don’t, we will be facing more serious conflicts like these.
In conclusion, do you agree with these interviewees? I am hoping we can make Dearborn more peaceful and also make people feel safe. The most important thing in this world is to make it better. People need to stop violence and bad activities! Instead, they should start thinking of ways to help our community. We should step up now, before it’s too late…
