In this society we have many young rappers getting their lives taken. For example rapper XXXTentacion recently passed away. He got shot, and robbed in his car, over a Louis Vuitton bag. About five months ago, when he was only 20 years old. “The greatest hip-hop artist of all time” Tupac got shot and killed in a drive-by shooting, at age 25. Also, The Notorious B.I.G. got attacked and died, at just 24 years old.

June 18, 2018, XXXTentacion died by assassination, while sitting in his parked car. Many claim it was over his Louis Vuitton bag. Over a bag or not, dying at 20 is very sad. Especially because in general X “wasn’t a bad person at all, he encouraged people to do a lot of things and he always wanted his fans to always try their best at everything,” said 14-year-old Haneen Bilal.

There is a video a few hours before his death. In it he was saying “Worst thing comes to worse, I die a tragic death, and I’m not able to see out my dream. I at least wanna know that the kids perceived my message, and were able to make something of themselves.” Later on, in that video, he also said, “If I ever die, or if I’m ever gonna be a sacrifice, I want to make sure that my life made at least 5 million kids happy.”

March 9, 1997, The Notorious B.I.G. got attacked and died. He was a former American rapper. He was known as “one of the greatest rappers of all time.” “The passing of The Notorious B.I.G. was pretty sudden, and I didn’t really think much of it, just another old school rapper gone,” said 36-year-old Batol Alizairij. Biggie got asked what B.I.G. stood for, as getting interviewed by TMZ. He replied with, “It used to stand for ‘Business Instead of Game’ now it stands for ‘Bullet In the Gut’.”

September 7, 1996, Tupac was gunned down and non-stop bleeding. That day was labelled as “The day the music was gunned down.” Seven days after that, he passed away. “Tupac always knew how to match up the beat with his lyrics, which made it even better,” said 17-year-old Aya Bazzi. Tupac’s music inspired and made a huge impact on many fans and other artist’s lives as well. Other than his very successful music career, Tupac Shakur was also an actor.

Overall, I think it’s very sad losing all these rappers at such young ages. Many of these rappers were good people, trying to make a change. Although we lost these rappers, they will still be in many of our hearts and minds. It’s shown that the most common rapper deaths are caused by assassination and drug overdose. Staying out of all that drama and also not flexing your stuff as much could prevent assassinations. Drug overdoses could be prevented by taking drugs and popping pills much less. Because it’s not cool, or safe.
