Animal cruelty has been going on since the 12th century. Way back, they have been using pit bulls to fight bigger animals such as, bulls and wild boar. For centuries these fights occurred across Europe until the baiting of larger animals was prohibited in 1835. There are many animal cruelty cases going on a year. 70.1% involved dogs, 20.9% involve cats, and 24.1% involve other kinds of animals.

Back in the ancient times, when they lost a war, they would use dogs to fight bulls and wild boar. They would do this for entertainment. In my opinion that is very cruel. Dogs are supposed to be guards, your friends, and instead they use them for entertainment how sick.

Laila Salman, an 8th grader at Unis Middle Schools says “ Animal cruelty is wrong, some of the products may be toxic and it could kill the animals but still use it on them. I feel like they use products to test the product on them to test if its safe for humans, why dont they test humans instead of killing animals. I do not believe that they should test on animals if it could harm them, it’s unsafe, and a lot of products are toxic for them.”

Israa Awada an 8th grader at Unis Middle School says “ I feel like it’s very cruel and i dont feel like it’s fair for animals, they are basically lab rats, they should be fair. People think that their all that and animals are nothing. Products like vaseline, and makeup are considered animal cruelty because if something goes wrong and they could die doing these experiments. I do not believe it should still be going on.

In Conclusion, many animals are being abused for what? Entertainment. Also people abuse them for many reasons but those reasons are not excuses. Animals are almost like humans they get hurt they get sad. Even Students think Animal Cruelty is wrong. They should stop testing products on animals, they should stop abusing.
